Metropolitan Municipality Promotes World City Muğla at TTI İzmir Fair

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality took part in the 18th International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress held in Izmir. The Muğla booth at the fair attracted significant attention from both national and international tourism sector representatives, showcasing the region’s appeal and potential to visitors and industry stakeholders.

The 18th International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress, which significantly contributed to national and regional tourism, brought together professionals from the tourism sector in Izmir. The event, which opened its doors at “Fuar İzmir” on December 5, also garnered substantial interest through the 2nd TTI Health Tourism Fair, highlighting the growing interest in health tourism opportunities.

Muğla’s Unique Treasures Were Promoted

Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, continuing efforts to promote Muğla and boost its tourism potential, set up a booth at the 18th International Tourism Trade Fair, held from December 5-7, 2024. The booth showcased Muğla and its 13 districts, emphasizing the region’s rich cultural and tourism assets.

Muğla Booth at TTI Izmir Attracted High Interest

The Muğla booth at the fair became a focal point for interest among both national and international tourism sector representatives. It successfully showcased the region’s unique tourism assets and earned high praise from participants.

Notable visitors to the Muğla booth included Erhan Adem, Vice Chair of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), Nurettin Demir, a former Muğla Member of Parliament, Muhittin Böcek, Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Ferdi Zeyrek, Mayor of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, and Zafer Levent Yıldır, Deputy Mayor of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality.

TTI İzmir Prepared the Ground for New Collaborations in Tourism

The organization is laying the groundwork for new collaborations in the tourism sector while aiming to showcase Turkey’s tourism potential to a broader international audience. 

Events held as part of the TTI İzmir Fair aim to raise sectoral awareness across various tourism fields, while also strengthening Muğla’s presence on the global tourism stage by highlighting its natural, historical, and cultural richness.

 Mayor Aras: “We Are Working to Make World City Muğla the Capital of Tourism”

Mayor Ahmet Aras, stating that Muğla is present at national and international congresses and fairs with all 13 of its districts under the vision of World City Muğla, emphasized that efforts to promote and showcase the city would continue. Mayor Aras said: “From Bodrum to Seydikemer, Muğla has a vast and unique geography. In our Muğla, which connects the Aegean and Mediterranean with unique bays, we are working to extend tourism throughout the 12 months, ensuring sustainable tourism. We place great importance on promotion, one of the key pillars of tourism. At national and international fairs, congresses, and events, we present Muğla and its 13 districts with our dedicated stands to visitors. We aim to showcase our nature, history, culture, seas, and many other distinctive features to turn World City Muğla into the capital of tourism.”
