‘Bodrum Boat Show Fair’ to be held in October with the support of the Metropolitan Municipality

Bodrum is getting ready to host an organization that will have a great impact in the national and international arena in yachting and maritime tourism, supported by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality.

Bodrum Boat Show Fair, which will be held between 15 and 19 October 2025 with the collaboration of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum Branch of IMEAK Chamber of Shipping and related institutions, will bring together the leading representatives of the maritime industry. The fair aims to reinforce Bodrum’s identity as a worldwide yachting centre. More than 200 boats and 500 brands will be present at the fair.

“We Carry Bodrum’s Maritime Heritage to the Future”

Orhan Dinç, President of the Bodrum Branch of the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping, drew attention to Bodrum’s maritime heritage dating back to the Ottoman shipyards and said, “Bodrum is a region where Ottoman shipyards are located and we consider it as the centre, brain and locomotive of maritime tourism, yachting, yacht manufacturing, blue voyage, diving, water sports and ports in our country. However, we have observed serious declines in our turnover and activities in yacht manufacturing and blue voyage in recent years. Therefore, we told our Mayor that we needed to organize a Boat Show in Bodrum. In parallel, we needed to prevent the decline we were experiencing in blue voyages. The works we had done were beyond our limits, but we could not make the right promotion. That is why, we decided to initiate the Bodrum Boat Show project. With the support of our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and Tamer Kıran, the Chairman of the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping, we started this project. In this way, we will hold our Bodrum Boat Show Fair between 15 and 19 October 2025.”

Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, “The Fair is a Great Chance for Bodrum”

Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci emphasized that this organisation will make significant contributions to both the local and international maritime sector and said, “Today, we are promoting the Bodrum Boat Show Fair to be held from 15 to 19 October 2025, which will carry Bodrum’s maritime heritage into the future and provide it a new direction. This fair is of great importance for the national and international promotion of our maritime sector. To enhance Bodrum’s standing in the maritime field, we will bring the Bodrum Boat Show to life with the support of our Mayor of Muğla, Ahmet Aras, and the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping. The Boat Show Fair is a great opportunity to expand local maritime activities and related industries, bringing together industry representatives in one place. For this reason, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this opportunity.”

“Mayor Aras said, ‘Bodrum is a city forged by thousands of years of maritime culture.’ ”

Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Ahmet Aras, stated that Bodrum is a city forged by thousands of years of maritime culture, and added, “The Bodrum Boat Show Fair, which we will organise in collaboration with the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping, will be a significant event that will further strengthen Bodrum’s identity as a global yachting centre and give momentum to the sector. Bodrum has been forged by centuries of maritime heritage and the Boat Show Fair we are organising is a collective effort. This is a fair that everyone should support. We wanted to ensure that Bodrum is not left behind, and to achieve this, we must work together in unity and solidarity. Bodrum will host this fair in the best possible way, leveraging its maritime culture and history. With the Bodrum Cup starting right after this fair, taking place from 15 to 19 October, we will fully embrace the entire month of October.”

Aras concluded his speech by saying: “I would like to thank the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping, sector representatives and all stakeholders who have contributed to this organisation. I wish to meet with you again at this great gathering that will take place between 15 and 19 October.”
