30 Apr Blue Voyage from Muğla to Rhodes Begins
Muğla Metropolitan Municipality is launching high-speed ferry services from Fethiye to Rhodes Island.
In cooperation with Istanbul Sea Buses (İDO), the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality will begin operations of the Fethiye–Rhodes ferry route on May 31. The seasonal route is expected to significantly boost tourism in the region.
Under the agreement with İDO, the Metropolitan Municipality is expanding its international connections with a route that promises to leave its mark on the summer of 2025. Operated by MUTTAŞ, a municipal affiliate, the ferries will offer Turkish passengers a fast and comfortable journey to Greece.
A Route That Will Revitalize Regional Tourism
The ferry route, supported by the Metropolitan Municipality, will depart from Fethiye. In addition to providing transportation, it will revive regional tourism and strengthen cultural bridges. Thanks to Greece’s “visa at the door” policy during the summer, Turkish citizens can visit Rhodes without a Schengen visa.
Non-stop Summer Service Between Fethiye and Rhodes
The ferry schedule is as follows: Starting on Saturday, May 31, ferries will run four times a week during June. Departures from Fethiye will take place every morning at 08:30, with return trips from Rhodes at 17:30 the same day.
In July and August (peak season), daily round trips will be available. In September, the schedule will revert to four trips per week.
In total, 192 round trips will be made on the Fethiye–Rhodes line during the 2025 summer season.
