Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Muğla-Denizli was launched.

President of the Union of Coastal Aegean Municipalities and Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Aras attended the launch of the Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Muğla-Denizli. Mayor Aras said, “The opening of the Hungarian Consulate in Muğla will make a very important contribution to the vision of ‘World City Muğla’, which is also our motto.”

Honorary Consulate of Hungary Muğla-Denizli was launched in Muğla’s Menteşe District. Muğla Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık, Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Aras, Hungarian Ambassador to Turkey Viktor Matis, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Muğla Hamdi Akın and guests attended the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Muğla, Ahmet Aras, Mayor of the Union of Coastal Aegean Municipalities and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, said: “The launch of the Hungarian Consulate in Muğla will make a very important contribution to the vision of Muğla as a World City, which is also our motto. Hamdi Akın, who was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Muğla, is a very important businessman who has very large investments in Türkiye, especially in Türkiye’s economic life and has investments in our region. The fact that the center of the Consulate General is opening in Muğla gives us great strength. Therefore, we would like to thank him and Mr. Çavuşoğlu, the President of Hungary and the Ambassador for giving this duty to dear Hamdi Akın in Muğla. I wish Mr. Hamdi Akın, Consul General, success in his new duty.”

Mayor Aras We will continue our efforts for the launch of other Honorary Consulates

Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, said: “From now on, we will continue our initiatives to open honorary consulates in the center of Muğla. We will continue our efforts to make the center of Muğla as well known as its districts. We will establish important relations with Hungary, with which we have historical ties, especially at the local government level and support today’s initiative. Our chamber of commerce will also strengthen economic relations with Hungary. It will contribute to the commercial life of Muğla and Denizli. I would like to express that I am very happy that we have made this beautiful launch together under the leadership of Mr. Governor.”
