Gökova Bay is one of the world’s most beautiful natural gulfs and a precious gift from nature.  Turkey’s second marine protected area, we visited the gulf with the Mediterranean Conservation Association. Especially invasive species from the Red Sea, pollution and uncontrolled fishing threaten biodiversity and local fauna.

I would like to thank Zafer Kızılkaya and the team of the Association for their awareness and improvement efforts. By acting together with the people of Muğla and all the stakeholders we host in Gökova, we will stop this bad trend as soon as possible with education and measures
