30 Jun Muğla Wedding Food Festival Brought Cultures Together
Hosted by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, the 4th International Muğla Wedding Food Festival was held on 28–29 June 2025, bringing together the city’s cultural heritage and gastronomic richness with international participants. Organized in collaboration with the Slow Food Muğla Community, the festival featured vibrant events in historical locations such as Arasta, Kurşunlu Square, and Yağcılar Han.

Chefs from Sindelfingen, Germany and from Greece contributed to intercultural dialogue by presenting flavors unique to their own culinary traditions. As part of the festival, traditional wedding dishes were showcased, alongside gastronomy workshops, traditional performances, children’s activities, and themed areas.
The international dimension of the festival enhanced Muğla’s visibility in the field of cultural diplomacy while also serving as an important platform for preserving and promoting local values. As Mayor Ahmet Aras stated, “Each dish carries our traditions, our labor, and our culture of sharing. Through this festival, we will continue to build a bridge from tradition to the future.”
