Mayor Aras: “We Are Working to Make Muğla a Livable Tourism City All Year Round”
Following the meetings held at the International Antalya Tourism Fair, Ahmet Aras, Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and President of the Coastal Aegean Municipalities Union, shared his views on Muğla’s tourism vision.
“Muğla, with its natural beauty, historical heritage, gastronomy, and hospitable people, is one of Türkiye’s most unique destinations. However, we do not want to confine this richness to the summer season alone. Our goal is to make Muğla a tourism city that is livable throughout all four seasons. To this end, we embrace the principles of sustainable tourism and aim to diversify tourism while preserving our local values,” said Mayor Aras.
He also emphasized the contribution of tourism to local development, adding: “We will continue to work in cooperation with our municipalities, sector representatives, and civil society organizations to ensure that tourism develops in a planned and environmentally compatible way across every part of Muğla.”
