During this visit, Mayor Aras met with Rhodes Mayor Alexandros Vasilios Koliadis, Deputy Governor of the South Aegean Region Asprakis Apostolis, Rhodes Consul General Salim K\u0131rcal\u0131ali, and representatives from the Muslim Culture and Brotherhood Association of Rhodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was accompanied by Union Councillors including Tire Mayor Hayati Okuro\u011flu, Ayval\u0131k Mayor Mesut Ergin, Karaburun Mayor \u0130lkay Girgin Erdo\u011fan, Dikili Mayor Adil K\u0131rg\u00f6z, Narl\u0131dere Mayor Erman Uzun, Mente\u015fe Mayor Gonca K\u00f6ksal, Marmaris Mayor Acar \u00dcnl\u00fc, and CHP Mu\u011fla Provincial Chairman Zekican Balc\u0131.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the conversations, the participants referred to several key issues including the climate crisis, peace, regional development, and sustainability. There was a strong focus on developing strategies to combat climate change, protecting natural resources and implementing environmentally friendly practice. Mayor Aras said; \u201cWe will steadfastly pursue international co-operation projects in line with the vision of World City Mu\u011fla, and these initiatives will offer new opportunities for both regions. We also aim to take significant steps towards the protection of the sea, nature and historical texture. Our work together in peace will make great contributions to both regions in terms of development and sustainability.
