COP29, one of the most significant global events addressing climate change issues, has seen participation from approximately 72,000 people representing 169 countries. His aim was to collaborate on strengthening Mu\u011fla\u2019s infrastructure, addressing drinking water deficiencies, and securing funding for these projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the summit, Mayor Aras met with key figures, including Joanna Masic, Leader of the World Bank\u2019s Sustainable Cities Program, Leo Bejarano, Head of the Barcelona Climate Change Office, and Keiichiro Asao, Japan&#8217;s Minister of the Environment. He held a productive meeting with Joanna Masic to explore potential funding opportunities from the World Bank for infrastructure projects in Mu\u011fla. In addition, Mayor Aras met Leo Bejarano to discuss joint projects with Barcelona aimed at tackling climate change, resulting in a commitment to collaborate on initiatives addressing the climate crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mayor Aras: \u201cWe have been feeling the effects of the climate crisis more intensely in our province in recent years. In line with our vision of a World City Mu\u011fla, we participated in COP29 to contribute to combating climate change, adapt to global processes, and share knowledge. During the summit, I had the chance to meet with World Bank officials, Japan\u2019s Minister of Environment, and the Head of the Barcelona Climate Change Office.
