Mayor of Mu\u011fla Metropolitan Municipality, Ahmet Aras, participated in the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair held in Germany between 4 and 6 March 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mu\u011fla Metropolitan Municipality introduced Mu\u011fla with its 13 districts in a single stand at the ITB Berlin International Tourism Fair, one of the most prestigious and largest fairs in the world, which has been organised since 1966. During his visit to Germany, Mayor Aras also made important visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ITB International Berlin Tourism Fair, taking place at the Messe Berlin fairground in Berlin, the capital of Germany, aims to create a meeting point for tourism industry professionals, to highlight innovative services and developments, to establish business contacts and to discover best practices in the sector. Travel agencies, hotel chains, tour operators, destination management companies, tourism technologies and other related service providers participate in the ITB International Berlin Tourism Fair. Topics such as destinations, hotel solutions, congress tourism, business tourism, sustainable tourism and digital innovations stand out at the Berlin Tourism Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

100 thousand people visited the 2024 Fair<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around 3,200 accredited journalists and more than 300 bloggers from 103 countries attended and covered the 2024 ITB Berlin International Tourism Fair. Approximately 80 ministers, state secretaries, and 72 ambassadors visited the fair. The 2024 fair was organised under the title ‘Leading the Transition in Travel and Tourism.’ More than 5,500 exhibitors from 170 countries and regions presented their products and services to around 100,000 visitors. The 2025 ITB Berlin International Tourism Fair hosted over 400 international speakers under the slogan ‘The Power of Transition Lives Here.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important Visits by President Aras in Germany<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mu\u011fla Metropolitan Municipality’s Mayor Ahmet Aras, who is in Germany for the ITB International Berlin Tourism Fair, made important visits. Mayor Aras visited the executives and members of the Turkish-German Sister Cities Federation and the Turkish-German Business Association. While these visits contribute to the international promotion of Mu\u011fla, they also pave the way for the development of cooperation to increase the city’s tourism potential. Mayor Aras’ contacts are of great importance in terms of introducing Mu\u011fla’s cultural and natural richness to a wider audience and creating new opportunities in line with sustainable tourism goals. During the visits, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin B\u00f6cek, President of the Turkish-German Sister Cities Federation \u00d6zcan Mutlu, who previously served as an MP in Germany, Dalaman Mayor Sezer Durmu\u015f, and Marmaris Mayor Acar \u00dcnl\u00fc accompanied Mayor Aras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aras attended Berlin Economic Forum 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mu\u011fla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras attended the prestigious Berlin Economic Forum 2025, bringing together leading figures from government, business, academia and international organisations. The forum, which aims to promote sustainable investments, international cooperation and innovative solutions that support global development, discussed the international business community’s strategies to strengthen global economic connections, green economy projects and investments compatible with sustainable development goals.
