We aim to promote these values on international platforms and strengthen our cooperation in cultural, technological, commercial, social and artistic fields by establishing friendly relations with cities in Europe. The visit of Dr. Bernd V\u00f6hringer, President of the Local Authorities Chamber of the Congress within the Council of Europe and Mayor of Sindelfingen, is of great importance in this respect. We prepared a comprehensive sightseeing program for our guests. We showed them historical sites in Mente\u015fe, the first city in T\u00fcrkiye to have a conservation-zoning plan, and then Karaba\u011flar Plateau, a third-degree urban protected area with a special air and water circulation. Thanks to the bridges of friendship we have built, we will collaborate in areas such as multicultural events; youth exchange programs, digitalization and smart cities. It holds a significant place in the automotive industry, housing one of the largest production facilities of Mercedes-Benz. The city also boasts a well-established textile industry, with handcrafted fabrics being produced since the 1870s.
