During the meeting, the friendship between the two countries, opportunities for cultural cooperation, and potential collaborations at the local government level were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambassador Rashad Mammadov was accompanied during the visit by Eldar Aliyev, Deputy Head of Mission and Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as Perviz Mammadov. The meeting addressed topics such as establishing sister city relations between Mu\u011fla and cities in Azerbaijan, and enhancing cultural and tourism exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the visit, both parties exchanged views on potential joint projects that could be carried out at the local government level and expressed mutual goodwill and intentions for future cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1706\" src=\"https:\/\/worldcitymugla.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/buyukelci-azerbqaycan.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1392\" style=\"width:699px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mammadov: \u201cYour Strength Adds Strength to Ours\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his visit, Rashad Mammadov said: \u201cThank you very much for your hospitality. We are very happy to be in our beloved Mu\u011fla. The relationship between T\u00fcrkiye and Azerbaijan is one to be emulated. Guided by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk\u2019s words, \u2018Azerbaijan\u2019s sorrow is our sorrow, its joy is our joy,\u2019 our ties are at the highest level. Azerbaijan and T\u00fcrkiye are aligned on many fronts. Your strength adds strength to ours. We will work to further develop our relations with Mu\u011fla. Among our people and nations, there is a mutual respect, and we will continue to enrich this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mayor Aras: \u201cWe Will Strengthen Our Relations with Azerbaijan\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President of the Coastal Aegean Municipalities Union and Mayor of Mu\u011fla Metropolitan Municipality, Ahmet Aras, said: \u201cWe wish to further strengthen and continue our relations with Azerbaijan. It is an honor for us to host our Azerbaijani guests in a beautiful city like Mu\u011fla. Rest assured, we will make our Azerbaijani guests feel as if they are in their own home.
