Muğla Metropolitan Municipality participated in the 28th EMITT – Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair, one of the largest tourism fairs in the world.

EMITT Tourism Fair, which hosted approximately 30 thousand visitors from 95 countries in 2024, started this year on 5-7 February at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Centre. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality introduces World City Muğla to the participants with its stand promoting its 13 districts at the Tourism Fair.

Participating in the fair under the leadership of Ahmet Aras, President of the Union of Coastal Aegean Municipalities and Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality is promoting the natural, historical and cultural richness of the city at EMITT Tourism Fair. Within the scope of the 4-day Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT), 13 districts will be introduced.

Emphasizing Muğla’s strength in tourism, EMITT Fair will also contribute to sustainable tourism. The Metropolitan Municipality will also take an active role in the fair to support the branding process of the districts.

Attending the opening of the 4-day fair, President of Coastal Aegean Union Municipalities and Mayor of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Aras said: “There are different beauties in every corner of our Muğla. It is our duty to promote these beauties and open the doors of our districts to the world. In cooperation with our 13 districts, we aim to promote our Muğla with all its beauties. We can only facilitate this through comprehensive fairs such as EMITT. This fair, which offers a great opportunity to promote our districts and Muğla with visitors from all over the world and our country, will also support the branding of our 13 districts. In addition, such organizations are of great importance for tourism not to be limited to our coastal districts, for the development of rural tourism and for our cultural heritage to reach a wider audience. We emphasize at every opportunity that Muğla is a city with four-season tourism potential. We intend to further strengthen Muğla’s place in tourism by reflecting this vision in the best possible way at EMITT Fair.”
